Host with heart

Experiences so good, they don’t need convincing

why this exists

Most experiences are designed to function smoothly.

Some are designed to impress.

Very few are designed in a way that makes people care.

Guests may enjoy the stay, the meal, the moment —
but when nothing truly lands, nothing pulls them back.

And when experiences rely on amenities, pricing, or constant novelty,
they become harder to sustain and easier to replace.

Host With Heart exists for people who know there’s another way.

A way to design experiences that feel intentional, coherent, and alive —
and quietly create loyalty without effort.

What this is

Host With Heart is a guided design practice for people creating experiences others step into.

This is not about being a better host.
It’s not about offering more.

It’s about designing through feeling
so the entire experience holds together and does its work naturally.

The result isn’t performance.
It’s attachment.

Why this approach works

People don’t remember everything.

They remember how something felt — often in just a few defining moments.

When an experience is designed around a clear emotional through-line:

  • people settle faster

  • trust forms instinctively

  • customer service is a breeze

  • connection feels easy

  • return and sharing happen on their own

That isn’t branding.
It’s coherence.

And coherence creates magnetism.

  • Inside this practice, you’ll step into your experience the way guests do.

    You’ll begin to notice:

    • where the feeling is clear

    • where it gets diluted

    • where moments land — or miss

Over time, the experience starts to align.

    Transitions make sense.
Systems support the feeling instead of fighting it.
The work becomes easier to hold — for everyone involved.

    This applies across many contexts:
lodging, restaurants, retreats, tours, workshops, and place-based experiences.

  • People often notice:

    • guests talking about why it felt special

    • deeper emotional connection

    • natural word-of-mouth

    • return that doesn’t rely on discounts or upgrades

    Nothing flashy changes.

    Everything meaningful does.

  • This practice is for you if:

    • you’re tired of competing on amenities or price

    • you want your experience to feel unmistakable

    • you value restraint, story, and clarity

    • you want loyalty without burnout

    • you’re ready to design once — thoughtfully — and let it last

    This isn’t about impressing.

    It’s about being remembered.

  • Host With Heart stands fully on its own.

Many people arrive here after designing one magnetic moment —
ready to bring that same clarity across the entire experience.

    There’s no rush.

You’ll know when the work wants to deepen.

A Different way to design experiences

You don’t need to do more.

You need the experience to hold together — clearly, calmly, and with intention.

That’s what this practice supports.

“It’s been 4 days since we left and settled back into our regular life, but not one day has gone by without reminiscing about our stay here. At first this was going to be our “girls vacation,” but upon arriving and spending time on the land with the animals, the flowers, and nature, I soon realized staying here was much more than that. It is not just a vacation, it’s an experience! That experience is very much what you make it, whether it be snuggled up in the most comfortable bed with a good book and a cup of the FINEST coffee ever while looking out the panoramic window, or walking around the property alone or with Nicole as she shares their vision for this paradise tucked in the woods, or sitting by the campfire laughing with the other people staying there, it’s really up to you! You can do as little, or as much as you like!
The owners, Kirk and Nicole, were so down to earth, kind and helpful too. They always stopped & visited on the path, and were eager to share places to go for the day. We wanted to see a moose, so Kirk told us where we’d see one, and he was right! Overall, you just leave Klarhet feeling better than when you arrived. For selfish reasons, I don’t want to share this place with anyone, but for selfless reasons, I want everyone to know about this magical little place in the woods. We loved it, and will definitely go back!”
